Well, like you guys said... a lot of abuse, and ripping, and tearing to get the thing out. I finally got it out, and it looked nothing like the ones in the pictures. I flipped it over, and it says "Banks Performance" on it. I was both pissed and happy at the same time.
Any way.... I removed my upper intake, and opened up the inlet that comes out of the turbo, and decided not to do anything with the other end, as it looked to be fairly free-flowing. I drilled and tapped for my boost gauge. The gauge I got is electronic, so it operates off of a map sensor. I mounted the sensor right above the engine, and ran a short piece of tube in between. I'll get some pics tomorrow. Tomorrow, I'll be replacing my trans. cooler lines, fluid, filter, installing the trans temp gauge, and exhaust temp gauge. I can't wait for it to be done. I mounted the 3-gauge pod on my a pillar molding. looks sweet. Can't wait to paint it. Ok, enough rambling, just excited! WAHOO!

Good story - very informative.

Can you post a 3/4-view pic of that BANKS air tube, and what brand is the Boost gage with a MAP sensor?
That gage setup might bear some further investigation, for the greater good of all, as it were............

Yeah, I'll take a bunch of pics tomorrow. The gauges are Autometer cobalt electric gauges. The MAP sensor is exactly like the factory one that's mounted on top of my intake manifold.
