Has anyone successfully relocated the fuel filter to make changing the filter easier to access?
Thank you

Offhand, I don't know of anyone who has. But, honestly, it's already in a decent place. Of course, I'm assuming yours in the middle of the valley, near the rear. Besides, it helps to keep the fuel warm in the cold months. If you wrap a rag around the housing and do things slowly, you shouldn't make much of a mess at all.

I did it was easy I just made a bracket, extended the fuel lines and extended the five wires. I mounted the new bracket on the drivers side of the radiator shroud. The hardest part was pulling the metal fuel supply line down/out, so I could run it up under the master cylinder. I left the return fuel line stock path the same under the manifold other than extending the line to the filter return port. I can take a pic later this week and post it.

I mounted mine on 2- 6 inch pieces of aluminum pipe thru bolted with carage bolts. can check for leaks, and monitor for air with the added clear vinel lines, I also added a bleed valve at filter output. makes access to Oil Pressure sensor and glow plug controller easier.

Here is a pic.

I also forgot that I pulled the inlet fitting out and tapped it with 1/8" NPT so I could screw in a 90° fitting.

of all the diesels I've changed filters on I always thought the 6.5 was one of the easiest.

Nice job on the relocate though.
