I'm looking for info. about the fuel called Bio-Diesel. Will it hurt the engine, where can you get it, what does it cost, what mileage do you get. Any info. you can give will be appreciated. Thank you, Dale

I can't help you with the answer to that, but there is a whole sub-forum here on bio-fuel

It's really not hard to make, just takes some practice. If you live near a place where you can get free waste vegetable oil (most places in PA fall into this category) then you can make it yourself for about $.50/gallon. Lots of info on line about how to do so.

Did a little reading on a site where a guy brews his own - about 40 gallons per week. Quite a lot of chemicals - some apparently pretty caustic. I'd almost be afraid to have a setup like his - someone might call the cops on me thinking I was operating a crystal meth lab or something!

However it does look like once you get the procedure for making it down, not too big a deal.

I'd love to see a local person doing a higher volume of bio for public or even co-op sale. Seems like I've read purchasing bio is about $3.00/gal for b100. Won't take much before that is cheaper than dino. I would buy it for a little more than dino if it were still available here just to promote it.

Right on rockin! I would buy it if they could set a co-op here in oklahoma. At 50 to 80 cents per gallon you would think that all the heavy equipment contractors would be using this stuff.
