the engine assembly plant is being built in Ohio.....But I don't know whether the parts are actually made there or not.

And thats cause as a whole, Americans demand cheaper prices over made in the USA. Generally speaking, companies are just trying to meet our demands and if Americans demanded products be in the USA, they would be. But we don't so they don't. Again speaking overall, I'm sure some of you would gladly pay double the price, but I'm speaking overall.

Cheap labor and a work force that is scared to fight for more pay for fear of replacement or worse. It's defiantly not right, but no country can compete with China's basically slave labor. The UAW work force is by far superior in producing quality parts then the Chinese, but just over $70/hour (UAW worker, wage and benefits) vs just under $1/hour (Chinese) is imposible to compete with.

Edit: Found $70/hour from here (http://www.autoblog.com/2007/07/13/u-of-m-economics-professor-tackles-tough-question-of-uaw-wages/) have no idea if that is correct.

If more people would be at least a little bit picky about where the products they buy are made vs cheapest price, the usa would not have nearly the economical problems we do now. When you CAN find made in USA it usually does not cost that much more and is usually better quality and helps keep your own job and your neighbors, I`m done.

Every time I go to Home depot or Lowes or anyplace for that matter I try to stick to USA made!! A couple of dollars more is usually the difference so I pay it.
