I was talking to a guy at a muffler shop about exhaust and he said he noticed a real difference when he installed the filter system, so I thought I would see what other people's opinion's were. hannaco 03-13-2005, 07:14 AM The least expensive option is to use the drop in pannel filter. The down side of either filter is the filter oil. Be careful when oiling the filter. Too much, and it will migrate down to your Mass AirFlow sensor. Which can cause a drop in power and milage. It is a bit of a chore to clean. Too little oil, and dust gets into the motor. Just follow instructions, and all will be ok. An option to the K & N filter is the Amsoil drop in foam filter. Same cautions apply. aka108 03-19-2005, 05:33 PM Son gave me a K&N filter for a 97 with the 5.7 engine. Couldn't tell any difference between it and the OEM in normal driving. | ||
