Yep, I noticed it was $2.24 in downtown Houston. I'm hoping it's a little cheaper by the house. It looks like the boating season is going to be expensive this year!

why is diesel higher priced when its easier to make? dont you have to make regular gas from the deisel? thats what i have always been told from the guys who are in the business... if thats true then diesel should always be cheaper... to me anyway..

I talked to a guy that just sold his fuel buisness and was told that oil companys use up all they can to make gas. And leave very litle for diesel. So that creates a diesel shotage. So the price goes up

Thankful

True at least in theory. Diesel is refined less than regular gasoline, so it should be cheaper. The oil companies also know that trucking companies will pay whatever it takes to keep their big rigs rolling.

In my business we burn approx. 3000 liters of fuel a day (about 90 cents a litre at the pumps). I always work a deal at the beginning of the year. Four years ago, it was hard to work a 3 cent per liter deal (discount). This year the supplier went for 14 cents (higher mark up?). What a scam this fuel business is. May have to change the fleet to gas pots with 4 bangers).

$2.29 here in Pennsylvania, and word has it that its only going to go up this spring and summer. Bunch of crap if you ask me. As soon as the world news says oil barrel is going up 50 cents then the next day the local fuel stations jack up prices 20 cents? And we all have to pay to drive so what are we gonna do?

I think I got some of the last halfway decently priced diesel this morning at the HEB in Elgin at $2.04.

Pretty bad when $2.04 qualifies as "halfway decently priced". -:t

I'm starting to believe these marketing companies are too blame. They are talking bout future shortages in inventories and today i heard inventories are rising on the news. Its good business for marketing companies to cause uncertainty in the market.

I am wondering when all the trucking companies are going to go on strike or refuse to ship products including fuel itself because of the rediculous prices.

when I purchased my truck last year diesel was 1.40 and I was gloating..now its 2.19 at the same station and I am bending over basically with the rest of them.

it really is down right BS! I wish I could give OPEC a piece of my WRATH. It would have been cheaper for us to buy a small plot of land and drill our own. I think it would be fun to watch them all suffer when we could have our own fuel at cost. i am waiting for us to become independent of foreign oil and get BIO ........that way the farmer will drive the econ ..........I can't waite!!!!!!!! just went up five cents yesterday here in Libby MT. 2.44.9. Bought fuel in cour de lane ID sunday for 2.44 and it said premium. Just curious, but what is the difference between #2 and premium diesel? My mileage went up 2 miles a gal with the premium fuel. I run stanadyne in every tank.
