I found a good price at www.truckspring.com (http://www.truckspring.com). $143.95 (no tax & free shipping) For more info visit www.timbren.com (http://www.timbren.com) The part number is "gmrck25s" for a 2500HD 4x4.

Has anyone put these on? The manufacturer claims less than an hour to install. A local spring shop wanted $50 to install, but only if I bought them from him at $180. With tax that would cost me $251. I'd rather pocket the $107 and put them on myself.

Two bolts per side and a jack all in the hitch receiver to raise the truck. Just make sure you block the front wheels. Less than an hour get the tools out and put away, that's including the beer.

15 minutes...max

I have had them on several different vehicles and installing them on my new DMAX was the easiest by far!

Follow up question: The timbrens installation say allow 1 inch clearance between them and the axle. (I assume this is so when you are unloaded there is no change in ride quality.) Since you're allowing a 1 inch clearance, why is it necessary to jack up the rear to install them?

Your assumption on the ride quality is correct.

Jacking the rear up just makes it so you can easily get the socket up inside the timbren for the bolt that goes through it.
