Has anyone tried using hydraulic hose instead of metal fuel lines? I am wondering because, it seems it would be easier to work with.
Thanks

Hose for fuel service is of different composition, to prevent deterioration resulting in softening, or hardening\cracking, etc.

While Diesel fuel is a light oil, the additives in it would deteriorate the hydraulic-service rubber hose.

I know that you're not supposed to replace rigid hydraulic lines with rubber hydraulic lines...this is because the metal lines provide cooling for the hydraulic fluid. Probably completely off topic. Anyway, I wouldn't use my own truck for that particular experiment.;)

I'd imagine the opposite (replacing flexible with rigid ones) would make more sense. Now if you are talking steel braided, teflon coated ones (has to be better than AN standard - 100 psi though) I'm with you on that one. :)

You could probably bend your own replacements for cheap.
