I have an 05 CC and when ever I drive during a rain storm water starts coming on the passenger side of the ceiling/window. Not quite sure which since I am driving and not getting the shower in the back seat. Has anyone heard of this or had this happen to them? Any solutions?

Sunroof on the vehicle?

My 05 did it too, it was a bad rear window seal. Took replacment of third brake light before they even looked at the window seal.

Good luck

Try using a hose, with some pressure, and work up from bottom of window towards top. Might detect where leak is this way. And check around the brake/cargo light.

If not coming from the window, you might look at the cab vents that sit below the window. Just a thought.

I had that problem with my '91 2500, and I thought for sure it was a window seal because it came down the driver's side ceiling and window, but it turned out to be the third brake light seal, and the path the water chose to follow just so happened to be on that side. I also kept forgetting about it, and it went so long that it ruined my headliner and started molding a bit under the rear seat. Don't do that -:t.

Sorry to bump this, but I noticed a spot in my headliner, its right up in the very "Bowl" of the roof corner, rear passenger seat. In the rounded corner, there is what looks like a wet spot/stain maybe a circle 2 inches across... Would that be a sunroof issue? There is an aftermarket rear slider as well, but the spot seems too high for it to be coming from anything but the roof. But it also seems too far towards the back to be from the sunroof.

Not my truck, just a pic I found to use. I don't think I could live with light colored leather. I do have dark though. I'll have to see if the drains are plugged. The VIS shows>

B2853 - HOSE, SUNROOF DRAIN - REAR - R&R OR REPLACE .

So it's already had something done with that it seems.

Finally got around to using silicon to reseal the 3rd brake light and it is still leaking but leaking less. Should I reseal it again with a thicker bead of silicon?

i would seal that again . my third brake light leaked like a sivv and soaked my back carpet and the floor. that was after i installed my after market light. but my stock one was leaking also. i noticed water spots all over my back window to figure it out. luckily i dont have a mold smell to my truck!!

SUPA DEXTA maybe when you turn corners in your truck the water runs and piles up there. just my 2 cents. but that is weird .
