Last week the check valve in my water/meth system decided not to work. My negine filled with water. I attempted to pull the glowplugs to drain the cylinders. Six of the eight came out the other two broke off. I used left hand bits and drilled them to 9/32 and used an ez-out on them. One broke off 3/4's of the threads leaving the rest in the head. The other wont move at all. I used four types of penetrating oil on them for three days. I tried to heat them and melt bees wax in there, but when I remove the torch the head cools almost instantly and wont melt the wax. I tried putting the ez-out in the freezer while heating the plug hoping it would contract when I put in the ez-out, but no luck with that either. Does anybody have any ideas? I don't want to pull the heads. The truck has sat for a week and the water is still in the cylinder. Any ideas would be great thanks.

I would remove those heads man.
How did you fill it with water??
Where are you injecting your WaterMeth, and how did your pump run that outa control with the engine not running?

I have a 6 gallon tank in the tool box. I was parked slightly down hill and it gravity fed overnight. The check valve must have stuck open. The next morning three of the six cylinders were full and at least one of the broken ones. Not a good way to start a day.

Yeah man you gotta pull the heads unless you were brave enough to crank it over to attempt to get the rest of the water out. (better hope its not on compression stroke!)
Can you drill any farther in? and get an easyout that far down?
Sorry to hear about your horrible luck-

What kind of ez-out are you using? The old Bob Villa special won't work to well. I prefer the Proto's
Remember, If you pull the heads you still need to get the two broken glow plugs out.

even with the heads off its not easy to get broken glow plugs out,(on lb7's anyway) havent had trouble with any of the newer ones.

can't you pull injectors to turn it over without compession or to late now

I have the spiraled ez-outs. There is too much taper to the ez-out to go any deeper. I would pull the injector but one glowplug broke 3/4 of the threads off. Only about 2-3 threads left holding. I am worried about blowing the glowplug out while driving and wrecking something. I am half way through pulling the heads and plan to take them to a head shop. I don't feel daring enough to try drilling them out myself. Now it gives me a reason for headstuds and injector nozzles.
