Doesn't happen all the time but occasionally I get a gear grinding noise coming from either the front axle or the transfer case. Gotta be the front axle though, just sounds like its in front of me. Sometimes before I come to a stop I will shift the transmission into Neutral and let it roll to a stop, a few seconds after I shift I hear a gear grinding noise, and then what ever it is thats out of alignment or whatever catches and the noise stops. Any ideas?? Hard to take it to the dealer for that, I know it will be a "cannot duplicate". Any thoughts appreciated, thanks, John
