My LLY has always smoked blue some when it's below 45 degrees out, After installing the Banks 6 Gun it got a little worse. Now this week I chased away the bothersome cat and unplugged the EGR. Today I drove around some and it smokes like crazy (huge cloud) when you come to a stop sign, looks like an oil burning pig.
Has anyone else experienced this? I s this related to what I did with unplugging and chasing the cat away?:help:

There is a reflash available for the 04 LLY's. Do you know if you've ever had it done? If not I would start with that.

Mine too makes blue smoke. Especially in the morning when it's on high idle. Never noticed it til I got rid of the OE exhaust and went to Summit 5" kittyless. From a stop sign it blows black as coal. I had the reflash done in January.

mine does the same alot of blue and white smoke when first start. i have had the reflash. but i checked the balace rates on my injectors and 3 of them were way off. i haven't taken it in yet but i plan on it.

i run my truck as a commercial vehicle and sometimes sleep in it with the motor running.when i take off it blows smoke like a big rig until the motor comes back up to temp

That's true sideswiper, my buddy owns a trucking company and when his trucks are cold they blow alot of blue smoke until they get good and warmed up.

mine used to smoke blue intermittently until i had the reflash done. none since.

Mine smokes blue usually at start up on cold days ( below 40). Its anywhere from hardly noticable to plooms of smoke. I've had the reflash done, and the injectors checked. No help. It usually stops once the engine reaches 150 degrees. Have your dealer check the injectors under load, not just idle.

Banks has reprogramed the 6 gun contact them for the issue. we sent 3 back last week.:grd:

What's that have to do with the price of rice in China? :wtf:
Or are you saying that Banks' reprogramed 6 gun to take care of the blue smoke problem? If so, what about everyone else not running the Banks?
