Are these markings factory markings on the front of the bellhousing, and the front differential?

They look like salvage yard stock numbers to me, I've never seen marks like that on a new one.

x3 but I can see a dealer marking them if they were replaced under warranty, etc.

Only way to be sure would be to get with the previous owner but that may be harder than it sounds.

run a VIN check and see what you can find
