: What vacuum line for seafoam in 6.0?

I read back several pages and never did see what line people are putting the seafoam in. I looked under the hood the other day and I only saw a very small line on the top of the motor.

Thanks

OK, I'll look for myself!!!

Any vacuum line will work. If you read on the can, you just need to find one that will feed all the cylinders.

Its the brake booster,vacum line.

Your better off filling the intake thru the throttle body with the spray seafoam called deep creep.Less chance of causing engine damage that way.Fill it when the engine is hot ,and let it sit for a few hrs, then fire it up.It will foam up in the intake, and clean everything evenly. Many times if the vacuum line is too far to either end of the engine,it will overload the close cylinders, and some wont get any.Use the liquid seafoam for the fuel tank, and in small quantitys thro different vac ports.

Thanks for the "read the can" advice. :D I have the hydro boost brakes so I don't have a brake booster vacuum line.

The deep creep??? do you just spray it into the throttle body? I've never seen the deep creep, I'll look for it.

Thanks

That's me. Obvious! :D

I have never seen the deep creep either. Interesting!

I thought deep creep was like more of a penetrating lube?

Deep creep is seafoam engine treatment in a spray can. Look at the MSDS for both products online, they are identical exc the spray has Co2 for a propellent.
The deep creep works better on intakes and is safer because it foams up,reducing the chance of engine damage by using it. It also foams up touching every internal part of the intake, where as the liquid just gets whatever atomization it gets as it mixes with the air.

When should use that sea foam stuff? I would think you would do that to an engine with 100K or over. Just don't over do it and hydro lock the engine and bend or snap some connecting rods.

My 8.1 was carboned up at 79K badly. After the seafoam treatment, I did my own home made water injection cleanout, using a gallon water jug, which works better ,but needs to be done correctly or you can damage the engine, while i was doing the water cleanout, and running the engine at 2000RPM,chunks of carbon were shooting out the tailpipe,as i always lay an insect screen near the exhaust to see what i am cleaning out.I had a small carbon pile there from the cleanout.Im sure the cat convertors held some of it back too.The truck ran noticeably better after the carbon cleanout. Its been 7K miles since I did it,and i plan to do it again,as i felt there was more carbon to be cleaned last time, but I didnt want to put too much moisture in the motor oil by running another gallon of water thru it.

OK, I finally pulled the cover off the top of the motor and found a vacuum line located in the center of the intake. It is a foam covered line that goes to the pcv valve on the drivers side (back) valve cover.
I tried to let about 1/2 the can go in slowly and then kill it with a fast dump.... It sucked the whole can and never died. There was probably 2 oz left in the can and it never did kill it. I let it set for about 10 minutes and cranked it up...... SMOKE!!

I poured the remaining 2 oz or so down the throttle body on my S-10. It did kill the s-10. It seemed to make a difference in the idle of the s-10

I did the water trick on an old 305. I took a quart of water and poured some into the carb and then cracked it wide open and poured the entire thing in there in one progressive pour and it stayed running, and water was pouring out of the pipes out the back of the car while it was still running. I had know idea at the time, that I could have ruined it doing that. It seem to idle smoother.

I guess the seam foam won't hurt the o2 sensors?

I could barely get my little Subaru to die also. It wanted to right off the bat, but after some Seafoam, it really was hard to kill it, but it did die. They do smoke a lot! My Subaru does run better. I think that if I were to clean the injector and throttle body, I would have a very smooth running car.

it seems to have helped the start up knock? piston slap? whatever it is. It seems to be much better after the seafoam
