So I have an 01 lb7 and I tow a 7000 pound pump. I have the banks bullet for just a little extra power. But I seem to think that when I put it to stock and drive up a hill under load, I have to really push the pedal and it takes some time to get up to 65 mph. I hit 25 psi no problem but it just seems like it lags getting up to speed . 7000 pounds aint chit for the dmax. So I guess my ? is this normal for a pretty much stock lb7 just intake and straight pipe. I just feel like it should pull 7000 like it was not even their.
and yes new fuel filter was installed. no hole in the intercooler tube. maybe just need to buy a lbz or something like that.:banghead:

the 35's are robbing a lot of power, something to think about. that is a lot of rotating mass to get/keep moving

Id have to agree with delong. I have 37s and it takes a while to get up to speed with a load. im hoping to regear mine to 4.53 here pretty soon. hoping that will help.

Ok So That Makes Sence. I Was Just Curious Because It Seemed Like When Not On Level3 With My Tuner I Really Have To Hit The Throttle To Get Somewhere When Going Up Hill. I Have Hurd That Ppe's Tuners Will Alow You To Change Gear Ratio Is This True Would That Be Something To Look Into.

I personally don't know if the PPE can change ratios. I know EFI Live you can but even with that it's not gonna change anything physically. Changing your ratios in a tune will not turn the driveshaft faster physically. You are going to have to re-gear to take advantage of that. Which is basically just recalibrating your speedometer.

 The only way to change gear ratios is to physically change the gears in the differentials, the only thing the tuner will do is correct your speedo to match the larger tires.

Thanks Sorry If That Was A Stupid ? But When You Read On Ppe About What The Tuner Does It Spacifically Says Changed Gear Ratios. I Understand That The Physics Of This Would Not Change The Gears At All. Thanks Just Wondering. Damb This Chit Is Going To Be Expensive To Get The Bullet Proof Truck I Want Huh? Got To Love It Though

619, with stock gears and towing with that programmer I would look at getting an egt gauge. Probably not getting too hot but if you like to tow fast, even with only 7000pds, it can get hot on grades in OD.

If you do regear, go 4.11's, for 35's, 4.56's are too high a gear.

With a 100hp tune, 4.11's, I had no trouble with my 17000pd 5er and could keep 55-60 on almost all grades except for the real steep ones.
