Recently the passenger side door on my '07 Classic has been making a loud popping noise when it is opened/closed. I thought maybe it was the hinges, so I oiled them up, but still does it. Don't know exactly where it is coming from now. Anyone have any ideas? If it's a simple fix, I'd like to just do it rather than spend the time taking it to the dealer. Any thoughts?

it is the door stop detent in the middle that holds the door open. I've replaced a few of them. see if that's where it's coming from.

check the door check strap bolts. they tend to come loose. check the two on the door side and the single bolt on the door jamb side.
