I put a 14 bolt 10.5 inch rear axle/diff in my 2003 2500HD w/allison. I did this to use 3.24 gears for mileage. It has the OEM locker for this axle installed. The locker works fine in forward gears, no clunk going around corners etc, etc. Problem is in reverse. When backing in anything less than perfectly straight or on loose or soft ground the locker locks/unlocks violently. Sound like the driveline is going to detonate. Anyone have an idea how to remedy??? I changed the oil and fresh 80-90 has no effect.
