We had a snow/rain/wind storm here today, and my DIC flashed "ICE POSSIBLE". I don't recall seeing this before. Anyone else seen this on their DIC?

Does it time all the when the temp is falling through 33 ~ 31 degrees. We just had another 6" of partly cloudy.

"Ice Ice Baby" ):h Hmmm, so that's what it was. Guess I need to pay closer attention, since always in that temp range during the winter.

I see it most when I move from a warm garage to the cold outside.

anyway, i live and travel in northern Michigan (not u.p.), and it gets plenty below freezing during the winter, never seen it on dic, and i pay pretty good attention. all the time on my rearview, but never on dic.

I think it triggers on the speed the temp changes through the freezing point more than the fact of temp is freezing.

I believe its only on the SLT and LT models that do this my truck doesn't do it but my buddy's LT does. Both trucks are 2003's

mine is an LS, so that may explain it- geez, if i had known that the LT upgrade had the leather, radio, onstar, AND the dic ice warning for an extra 5,000, i would have got it):h

JoshNo, I usually keep my fly closed during snow storms....):h Sorry I couldn't resist. My '01 shows ICE in the rear view mirror temp area when it gets to a certain temp.

Mine is an LS and have the radio, leather and seering wheel buttons....is that just a custom order deal?

Hey PRO400, not to call you out, but I dont believe a cannondale would dyno 55 at the rear wheel. A fully tricked out trx, yfz, or ltz motors are bringing in numbers in the low 50's. And these are the top pros. Most people won't break 50hp unless the have privileged access to race team technology. just my 2 cents.

My 04 does not show anything. It's a LS model. We just got back from the mountains in NM and went from 51 degrees to 21 degrees up in the mountains. Never saw it show ice on the rearview mirror or DIC. We were in the ice believe me.

Mine never says anything in the DIC but it does say ICE on the mirror. 04 SLT.

I've only seen it once on the mirror, but never on the DIC... weather was cold, no ice. The one time I was in icy conditions it didn't do a thing. Talk about useless gadgetry.

Too easy. ):h So it sounds like maybe it's hit or miss on the SLT's/LT's. Looks like everyone's mirror shows ICE though.

Well the top pro's are only runnin 450's to w/ all that work. I have a 469. No replacement for Displacement.....The stock dale Dyno's 36rwhp...so w/ a 470 its not hard to achieve..Plus w/ the fuel-injection there is so much to do. I know of stock dales w/ custom mappin will make like 48rwhp..
