Well i was curious how much HP the Duramax could hold with head studs. I want to eventually put on either tips or injectors and a new turbo. Maybe like a a3k or a4k depending on what the engine can handle. This truck would be a daily driver so it couldnt break down. Now im no where near the point of doing this but i was curious for when i do. So im guessing with a good EFI Live tune with injectors, and new turbo id be around 600? Just a guess as im no expert with this stuff. With head studs could this be a reliable daily driver?

you really dont need head studs IMHO. Pistons will probably let go before you blow a head gasket.

Good to know. This is why i asked you guys. So how much would pistons cost and how much hp could i hold with pistons rather than head studs.

you might as well just build the motor, cut LB7/LLY pistons, keyed cam and crank, aftermarket rods, and head/main studs.
