: Want everyone's opinion.... What Programmer? Parker44 09-07-2008, 09:58 PM I know the new thing is the EFI Live from reading all of the posts, but I dont want to have to constantly fiddle with my program. I want the best one time plug and play unit that will make the truck tow and perform better, nothing extreme. I am down to the EFI, and the PPE........ already have the predator and am not as happy as I think I could be. Everyone's input greatly appreciated. Coolmax 09-07-2008, 11:19 PM Yeah efi live there is many different options and you can share tunes on the net plus the tunes seem to drive much better at least better than the predator imo. But if you want a canned tune ppe is a great tuner and no need for a laptop. Great power just watch your egt's on hot tunes . EFI is another great choice and I will be moving in that direction soon and installing my dsp5 switch that has been on top of my tool box for 2 years . I need to make some 42 psi tunes for the cheetah . The PPE on hot2 #10 only goes to 32 psi . But ive been running the ppe with the cheetah turbo for 2 months with great results . Great power and one hell of a fast truck . I tow on level 3 at about 30+k daily lately . And couldnt be happier . I like the plug and play ease of the ppe and it has never let me down . It has also made it easy for me to see any injectors that are higher than others in the scan mode . Great tuner and easy to use . Great for checking and clearing codes when needed . Ive only needed to clear codes once in all the years and it was back in the first year of the 05's when the trucks were throwing the 1093 prv code . I did the shim mod and have never had any codes on the truck since back in the day . Johnny | ||
