Mine does the same, but only about 50% of the time. I thought I read something about the bearings in the front diff being in to tight or something like that.

no new tires and rebalanced

I just put new tires on my truck two weeks back, and threw a wheel weight on the first right turn I made at speed. Had to go back and have it rebalanced. Just a thought.

Could be out of round or variances in sidewall/tread thickness. Balancing will not fix eithedr one of these problems.Could have a bent wheel to and balancing won't fix thatneither. If you have OEM shocks with12K or more on them, they could be your problem. I replaced my factory shocks at 4k withn Bilstiens.

What kind of tires you running? If they're Coopers I heard they have problems with tires being out of round. Also, what kind of pressure you running in the tires? Maybe the pressure is too high. Just a thought.

Do you feel it in your hand/steering wheel?

Do you feel it in your seat? ( no pun intended)

When is the last time it had a 4 wheel alighnment?

wheel alignment was done 20000 k ago the truck has 92000 k in the steering wheel i feel nothing, it is in the seat where i feel it i dont know how any angles of the pinon or dope would be off because nothing has been changed on the suspension. by the way what is dope level

Well if it is not in the steering wheel, I would guess it is something in the back half of the truck.

Stock shocks, 80 PSI and no load can make for a rather bouncy ride.

I installed Edelbrock shocks, reduce rear air to 55 PSI and carry about 600 lbs at all times. ( includes topper)

This mellowed things out quite a bit.

If it is still extreme I would say a bent rear rim.

ok so lets step back a while it is nly between 40 an 45 miles per hour so how could it be having no weight in the back? and if it was doing it before i changed the tires and they got rebalanced wouldnt the tire shop have caught a bent rim?

Try those centramic wheel balancers at mrtruck.net, they really work. If your running 285's you will have to crank the torsion bars to make them fit properly, but with 265s and 245's youll be fine. There AMAZING

PowderKing,
I understand that it isn't the tires. Here is the way I would go about figuring this problem out (I had a very similar thing with my 66 Mustang, turned out to be the tires, but it is the process of elimination that I am getting at).

Go underneath and look for anything obvious such as:

Shock bolt loose
Spring shacles broken
Any physical slop in steerin linkage
U Joint (bad ujoints will cause this type of condition)
Loose bolt on diff/s
Check lug nut torque
Make sure all wheel weights are in place

Now you might think to yourself, Man this guy is crazy, I would know if something like that were wrong with my truck. Fact of the matter is there are more vehicles running around with mild problems like this with out the driver realizing it until it gets bad enough to produce symtoms exactly like what you are describing. A problem like this may pass a brief inspection, but when you really crawl under and check it out, you might find that maybe you hit a big bump, or maybe something backed off just enough to throw the alignment off, or cause a resonant vibration. (Sorry for the lenthy description but this was the only way I know how to describe something like that.)

Once you eliminate all of those types of problems and claim victory on the mechanical side (This includes the alignment), then move over to the tires and wheels

Check tires for out of round (I know you said that it isn't the tires, but unless you specificly asked the tire shop to check that chances are they didn't.
Check tire balance
Check tire aire pressure
Look for bubbles, or other discrepant features on the tires
Check the rims for warpage, out of round, of if they are bent

If you follow this type of eliminsation, you will find your culprit.

Good Luck, and keep us informed
