I have a 2007 (NBS) 3/4 ton Yukon XL, 6.0 gasser, 4.10 rear. ~22,000 miles.
Recently, a sound has appeared that hasn't been there in the previous 23 months of my ownership.
When you lift off the gas, at any speed, there is a noticeable whine coming from somewhere between rear of engine/bell housing, and the front of the driveshaft. Or at least it sounds that was from inside.
Yet, it disappears instantly when I go back to the gas pedal, even a tiny bit.
Vehicle drives normally, fuel economy is normal, no leaks, fluids all are new, full, and clean. No vibrations. Tranny shifts perfectly.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to what it might be? Dealer monkies have so far proved useless.
