I'm lookin for comments and info on the Bank's Big Head Wastegate. I own a 02 D-Max with a K&N air intake, edge hot juice/attitude monitor, and straight pipes. The weakest point on tha truck(beside the ZF-6 trans problem) is that the turbo doesn't spool fast enough to suit me. I thought about Bighead as a fix to this problem, but it does'nt seem to be too popular. I would appreciate any comments.THANKS

There's been a fair bit of discussion here. I personally don't think it helps quite so much on the spol up as the upper and max boost levels.

Okay, then that leads me to another question. How well does the bighead hold boost pressure as you go through the powerband and does even it allow the turbo to build more boost? If i can't feel a difference, then its pratically useless to me. Thanks for the info!

I have a little gizmo that Brandon and myself are running that does work. Simple install and Eric can't have one even though he's been begging for one since Suncoast Open House.;) Seriously though, I should have these one of these days, and hopefully MUCH quicker than my lift pump stuff which is slowly nearing release...

If you don't mind me asking, what little gizmo might that be? If it works, then I might have to invest in one of those gizmos.

I believe and correct me if I'm wrong. A little valve deal that goes in the WG line. It has a psi that you set and at that set psi it starts to opens allowing pressure to bleed by it to the WG. So in theory your WG sees 0 psi(so its 100% completely closed) untill the widget opens and then all of a sudden your WG sees pressure and starts opening and doing its job. It *shouldnt* affect peak at all. Dont stick one on without a gauge though.

I run this dude http://www.lindseyracing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=LR&Product_Code=944-TBE-1 but want to do some more playing with it and might add something to the deal.
