JC1843 09-04-2008, 10:19 AM I would take it to the dealer and I am sure that they would fix it. Lots of problems with some vehicles, they extended the warranty for the dash gauges. :)

GM Customer Service that helped me last week is at 1-800-222-1020. I went to my local dealer to see if I could get them to install the 2006 air cleaner assembly. The dealer service rep was a jerk. I asked for a copy of the TSB for the heating problem and was told there was no such thing. I again asked him to look it up on his computer, which he finally did. He printed it out and handed it to me. I again asked him why I can't get this installed under warranty. He took his pen and circled the part numbers on this printout and told me to go see the parts department, have them order it, and put it on myself if I wanted it. I called the Custermor Service number and the next day the service manager called me back and told me to bring my truck in. I went in the next day and the parts were ordered and they are installing them tomorrow. My truck has 23,200 miles and the 36 month warranty ended on April 17, 2008. GM Customer service got it taken care of.

they should have done it under warranty even if the 36 month warranty is up. the engine has a 5 yr 100,000 mile warranty. an overheating engine is the engine warranty.
