I will be replacing the original Generals soon on my '04 GMC 3500 CC Dually in hopes of better ride quality. The truck is bone stock now and I have heard that changing the shocks will help improve ride quality but I also want to go to a 235/85-16E tire. I was thinking maybe a Michelin M/S. Does anybody know of a better tire or am I pretty much on the right track? I had an F-250 with Rancho 9000's and Bridgestone REVO's and was amazed by how much the the tires and shocks improved the ride on that truck. Can I expect the same kind of drastic imrovement in ride quality by putting Billsteins and Michelin M/S tires on this truck? Just want to be sure before I put down the $$$$ Thanks in advance.

I have found on the front the Mich ms are the best in that size (which I run the same size) the rear I run Yokahama atII's. I have had the yok on the rear for over 30,000 and have only lost about 3mm of tread. The reason I run two different is because the Mic. don't do well in the mud during hunting season but last longer in the front with pavement.

Rgds,
Jason
If you have trouble find the yok I can give the exact number in a few minutes I will look them up and repost in a little while.

These are the tires I run in the rear really quiet but have really good mud and snow traction especially for E rated tires.

For consideration, Bridgestone Revo's. I run the 235/85 16. They are quiet and wear well.
