Geez, I hate typing w/ one hand! When the trailer pops of the hitch make sure you don't stop the coupler with your hand like i did you'll just end up with three severed fingers:badidea: (but at least the bumper was saved)! Anyway for the questions.

Dumb question #1. Will the 90 hp edge tune fry my tranny or am I in the clear?

Dumb question #2. What are the benefits of a Banks Bighead actuator, and is there such a thing as a blow-off valve to release pressure for duramax's or are they just for pocket rockets?

This question is more of an opinion but what is the best all around air intake for 6.6's. when I say all around I mean dyno-proven gains, ease of assembly, workmanship, etc. I know there's tons of info but there all from the manufacturer's and I want info from my fellow d-maxers.

Final dumb question: I know the LB7 doesnt have the variable turbo, but is there a way to help it along in ataining that sweet jet-like whistle I hear time from time.

I apologize if these questions have been asked too many times but some of us just aren't blessed with as much knowledge as others! Answers to any would brighten this now 7 fingered guys day:help2:

Many thanks in advance,

#1 I don't think a stock tranny will hold up on a 90hp tune unless your easy on it.

#2 I don't know much about so I can't help.

#3 I don't think there is any significant gain in an aftermarket air intake. There are quite a few threads here that go over this. If you do a quick search you'll find all the answers you need.

#4 If you dump the muffler that may help.

Hope this helps.

90 is about the max you should be able to hold safely. If you want 100% saftey then i may back it down farthur than that. 90hp unloaded should be OK though. 125 is a bad idea. I need to strees unloaded. I would leave her set all the way down for towing. I towed with the hot OJ set to kill but I wouldnt recomend it.

I duno about dyno numbers, but I ran identical back to back times with my stock airbox compared to an afe stage 2. My truck sounds cooler with the AFE though. But if your going for performance reasons stick with a stock box and a acdelco filter. More than enough air and good dirt stoping plus it wont set you back a few hundred clams.

You can get a blow off valve for a duramax but its an expensive device. If you are carefull driving you dont need one. Just dont lift fast when hard into the throttle. If your not barking your turbo a blow off will help you 0. A bark is a funny woop woop woop sound, kind of a mix between a 3 stooges sound and a excited small doog. The more woops the worse you barked it. This is hard on your turbo so avoid this sound!!!! Burnouts seem to produce themm the most although truck pulling can get em making sounds too.

I wouldnt spend the $$$ on a big head.

IMO I would go for the juice and an exhaust. Either straight pipe what you have or buy an exhaust. Exhausts systmes(between the systems and between hacking off your factory muff) dont seem to have a performance difference, its just sound, quality and looks.
