I've started into a project of installing some Second Skin sound deadening material!!
Most things are pretty straight forward,,,but just curious if there's anything to watch for while taking down the headliner?? Any tips??

Do you have a remove all (clip) tool? Definitly need 1 of those. Take your time and make sure you keep track of everything. Really a simple removal. Are you taking the headliner all the way out of the truck, or just setting it on the seats?

Guys I used dynomat extreme two layers evrywhere, floor, back wall, all four doors, and I love it, I still have some left and was thinking about doing the roof, but I figured I would never get the headliner back up there properly, if you guys get it figured out and notice an improvement by doing the roof let us know..Josh

Thanks for the replies!!!
Guess I had better hit an autopparts store and get one of those upholstry tools that where mentioned!!!! I want to take the headliner right out so I can get in there and do a proper job!!!
When I bought the sound deadner,,,I bought enough to do my truck,,,2003 EC,,the fellow at Second Skin told me the best way(s) to kill noise in a vehicle was to first control the noise from the tires,,,ie wheel wells,,,then the roof,,,then doors,,and lastly amazing enough,,,the floor boards!!!
On the extended cab trucks,,,the roof isn't ribbed at all,,,I've had a few times in heavy headwinds heard the roof "popping" from the wind,,,,soooo,,,hopefully,,some sound deadner will add a bit of support to the wafer thin piece of tin they call a roof!!!!

I have used the aluminum coated bubble wrap insulation before in the headliner. It is lite enough to not distort the thin metal roof. And sound deadens it quit well.
