Hi all
I am nearing completion of my 1998 6.5 swap into my Scout II. I am now trying to findout why the ECM/PCM is not cycling the glowplug controller. the controller connector has power from the pink wire, good ground (black wire) but there is no voltage or signal from the yellow wire from the pcm. the controller is new, the pcm is reflashed by westers. any ideas on how/ where to figure this out? thanks

Check your fuses? Are you getting power at the heavy lead on the relay?

Yes I am.

Hmmm...so you got everything you need except the signal from the PCM to energize the relay then...I think I would call Westers and see if they have any known issues with GP relay control.

I guess i will call westers tomorrow. Lyndon @westers has been helpful. hopefully he can walk me through what sensor(s) or ? i may have missed hooking the wiring harnesses up. i still can not get any codes to come up. all i get is link error. thanks for the help though..

Link Error??? A communication problem with the scanner or internal to the PCM?

the obd II connector is only hooked up to the ppl serial data wire, blk ground, the orn power, the other entertainment & A/C stuff i am not using from the harness. Maybe westers can clear up my link error and GP not worky...

Yeah, hopefully they will know something...cuz I think I'd have to actually SEE the truck to even try and figure this out, even then I might not be much help ;)
