I have an '05 4x4 with 35' mud terrains, Volant intake, Banks monster exhaust, and Hypertech on level 3. From about 15 mph on, it pushes me back in the seat pretty well, but it does not launch real quick. Has anyone running larger than stock tires changed from the stock 3.73's to 4.10's. If so, can you smoke the tires from a standstill now?? I'd like to be able to leave the rice-burners in a cloud of exhaust and tire smoke.

Did it launch hard before the 35" tires?
To launch hard, you need to spool the turbo up to about 10-20PSI in 4x4 then launch.

I never tried it. My local dealer, unlike most discussed on this forum, has a deal with an aftermarket company--the truck was set up how I wanted it before I drove it off the lot(even got 0% financing on the add-ons). When you say spool up the turbo would that be by power-braking?
Thanks for the input.

Yep. Powerbrake it.
Stock without powerbraking these trucks are slugs from a stoplight. Without boost available, the engine is probably 150HP. And it takes a few seconds to build boost.

Going to tow tomarrow, i let you know if it improved.

It's a trip when you run a "big'ish" tune. You will floor it at a stoplight, it will go 50ft then roast tires violently as boost hits.
