Alright Ive done alot of stuff to my truck as you can see by sig. im thinking the next step is gonna be a turbo this is a daily driver that i take to the drag strip on weekends Im looking to put this truck in the 11's. I plow With this truck In the winter and pull a trailer for work. i would also like to try a little sled pulling. head studs will be on order and a fuel pressure regulator shortly. i know a little bit about turbos . this is my beginning investigation for one on my own truck. im not sure if i want to do compound or just a bigger one. any information or maybe pros and cons , someone to talk to, any thing to stay away from would be great. i do all the work on my truck myself and will be doing this turbo upgrade.

Daily driver/weekend warrior/work truck...........Compounds and definately what you are looking for, as long as you don't have to fit into a "street" class at the truck pulls.

if you have the money twins are the ulimate no compramise, if you stay single pick a charger that goes on a t-4 pedistall there are alot of options for a t-4 if you decide to go bigger later most do, and its alot cheaper to swap turbos than complete kits . i wish i would have went this route for now its alot more money if i go bigger :( but there are some good chargers for the t-3 pedistal but the only big one is an a5k unless its a custom jobber .

If you go with twins do you need to upgrade the internals of the engine? Headstuds etc?

that depends on how much fuel you through at them they do have the potential to but if you had it tuned corectly no it would be safe there are alot of guys running twins on stock bottom end and without head studs, but like i said it depends on what you throw at them fuel wise . cause the big turbo in the kit is a gt42 so with enough fuel you could see 50-60 psi boost but thats with a bunch of fuel , i am no twin expert so if i'm off some one chim in whos running them , but i wish i had a set :)
