Have you attempted to do a search yet? I know I have seen this being talked about before. If the search on DP does not work try it out on Google. I feel Google searches produce better results.
Wish you luck!

Yes it could. It could sound like a loose lifter. You could actually use a long screw driver like a stethoscope to identify where the noise is before pulling the valve covers.

I have the same problem, just got a fuel pressure gauge to check pressure, will let you know results. My suspicion is lift pump, I have flow from the T valve when idling but I'm guessing I'm lacking pressure under heavy load.

In my case at 70 mph on the highway, if I hit a good sized hill and try to hold speed I get a miss every 20 or 30 seconds.

Is it making an unusual sound at all?

In my case no, sounds normal. When I watch my boost gauge I can almost tell you when its going to miss, go much over 6-7 psi and it will miss.

OK, I hooked up the fuel pressure gauge. I had 11 psi at idle, then around 6-7 psi running steady and easy. When I floored it the pressure dropped to 2 psi, and with some random downshifts it would drop sometimes quite quickly down to 2 psi. It never seemed to go below 2, but the needle was really wavering under load. I'll put in the new Heath lift pump and let you know what I see then.

if the new lift pump does not work for you, i will try a new tank filter, i just hate the thought of droping the tank
