Info for the lifted truck's out there:)

I wanted to do a test on my truck just to see how good I could get it. My truck has the PPE tuner set on level 6 and speed recalibrated using GPS. I also have the PPE airbox mod. I filled the tank up on 8/20/08 and reset everything on the DIC. I always fill up to the top of the filler neck so that I can see the fuel. I drove the truck like a baby never going above 2,000 rpms, EVER. I ran 55mph-65mph on the freeway and did the speed limits in town. Taking off from stoplights and stop signs I took off with a light foot. On 8/22/08 I refilled the tank to the top of the filler neck and put in 4.968 gallons after driving a total of 98.3 miles. The pictures of the DIC were taken at the gas station before I refueled. So the DIC said I got 20.3 mpg and the actual is 19.8 mpg! I was pretty amazed that driving "normal" (for me:D) got that good with a lift and 35's. Can I drive like this all the time? Heck No! But now I know what it's capable of;)

A few weeks ago I did a fuel run and drove like some granny. I also got 19.880 MPG with my truck. That was in the mountains so I could probably beat that in the flatlands. I once got 22.8 MPG driving 55 to 65 on flat ground. Some reason I am thinking that my fuel mileage has dropped. My truck has 21,900 miles on it, wonder if changing the air filter would get my mileage back?

Yeah, that's the first time I've driven like that! Most of the time I'm ON IT, having fun:D

I got 18 on an 8 hr. trip this month, bed full of gear, doing 68 - 70. I was pleased to see that. Now that fuel's a little more reasonable I dont get a pain in the wallet when I get on it;)
