What is this code. I put the tranny in drive and it makes a nasty clunk, sets the ses light. This started all of a sudden. I have predator set on 40 don't flog it. The only thing different recently is I had to have the radiator repaired. Do you think the tranny would act like this if water got into thetranny cooler when pressure testing. Don't know if it happened but just trying to figure out why it is doing this. Tranny has worked perfect until now.

Get a scan asap. P0700 is an ses light request due to the fact that there is a trans problem and other codes stored.

i just changed my nsbu switch today. i had reverse and 3rd only. after chainging the nsbu, i started the truck and drove off only to find that i still only had 3rd and reverse. i was angry! i drove to the local schucks and they scanned my computer and said it was code po700 and that he could do nothing. discorage i headed back to my truck and was happy to see all 5 forward gears again. after a few more turns of the key the ses light went off. hope this helps. ps, do i still have a problem with this code being in the computer or is everything back to normal?

I replaced my NSBU also. Didn't fix the problem. Going to the stealer tommorrow. Hope it's nothing serious because I don't beat this truck and the Allison had better last longer than 78000 miles or I'll be seriously disapointed not to mention short some major cash.

To reset the trans hard codes with out scanning the trans it takes 10 starts. The trans ECM stands alone from engine ECM. MIL light may stay on longer.
