Well my truck doesn't blow black smoke when you floor it. When i was running hypertech with stock exhaust it would do it no problem. No it doesn't should i be concerned or is it the winter fuel? just curious?

I assume you are just running the edge/attitude now? If that's the case, I have the same and mine won't blow very much smoke unless it's in the higher tune levels... if you have it on levels 4 or 5 with low boost set at 5, you should be able to get some smoke out of it. I don't recommend running in those levels unless you have a built tranny!!

I once in a great while use stage 5. Not very often. The first day I installed the Edge, I used 5 a quite a bit. Now I am over my itch and rarley go above stage 3. Stage 3 with low boost on 5 simply kicks it!!!

I am weak I guess! I have ran my edge on 5/5 from day one and would even run the dmaximizer up some too when I was really bored! Not that I am really hard on it, but I don't baby it either! Oh well, I will end up paying for it, but the tranny has held together well so far.

Mine didn't smoke a whole lot with the edge but when I installed the predator 40hp tune it now smokes a lot when I want it to.

Note, with cooler air temperatures, the truck will smoke less.

crayz, I notice you have an 03', how long have you been running the juice? I'm curious as to how long your tranny has before it says bye bye...

On edit: I just saw you also have the copilot. That probably helps a bit, so my next question: How long have you had the copilot?

I have had my edge/attitude on for about 2 months. I had it set on 5x5 from day one. I go wot about a 1/4 of the time. The tranny still shifts great and never limped or zinged it. I guess we will have to see though....

Im runnin the juice/attitude and i constantly keep mine on boost level five but uasually run power level 3. I'm with Jonathan G, 5/3 is really enough to play around with. I love 5/5, but since my flywheel is junk and my clutch slips i can't have any fun luggin it down in 6 gear and blowin a continous cloud of blacksmoke on all tha strokers and cummins around home. And before somebody says it, yes i know thats why the clutch is slipping and it probably doesn't do the already defective flywheel any good.

I have had my juice for about a year now, and my co-pilot since last July I think. My tranny is feeling a little sloppy, but when the coverter is locked the attitute never shows more than 1-2% slip. But you can tell its wearing down, shifts erraticly (sp?) sometimes, shifts down and revs but doesn't really go anywhere fast! I know I would have smoked the tranny a long time ago if I didn't invest in the co-pilot. I got it the first time I smelt the tranny after a couple good races!

With my Banks Six gun I can blow a big enough cloud off the line in levels 4-6 to easily fill an intersection and blind the car behind me. I run 6 all the time, i have a stock transmission and it is still holding togetther though i am going to Put and ats stage 3 kit on it. then im going to run level 6 all the time.

Banks is the better choice

On juce level 5/5 if you let it shift in to 3 and punch it (should be about 4psi boost, you'll get the most smoke if you get on it at 5 psi or less), she'll fill the intersection up, and on the highway if you put it to the floor it will smoke all the way form the back to the front of a big truck, also fun on the 2 lane roads in the warmer times of the year when people have there windows down...
