addicted 08-26-2008, 09:21 PM Those look good Ryan.
Where did you get them?
redneckbuckeye 08-26-2008, 09:22 PM Lok good, how much modding?
AGGAR 08-26-2008, 09:24 PM Got them from a Guy up by Chi-town. He was actually at the Colfax pull and came over to talk to me afterwards and I was complaining about the Nittos' and he said he knew a guy that had some Chrome H2's with nearly new BFG's and I said Here's my number. That was Saturday and I picked them up on Thursday night after colfax.
Had to trim a little on the metal on the front bumper. Wouldn't have had to do it if I wasn't pulling but it was close. had to trim a lot more plastic. Need to do some sheet metal work but I think i'm gonna hold off on that.
Got 5 wheels and tires for cheaper than I can get a new set of tires.
addicted 08-26-2008, 09:38 PM Good deal, right place at the right time.
AGGAR 08-26-2008, 09:48 PM You betcha. I was dreading spending a crap ton on new BFG's and these had maybe 4k on them and the 5th still has nips on it!
beach_33 08-26-2008, 10:11 PM i told you ryan. they look good man. hopefully mine will be powdercoated soon
krash73 08-26-2008, 10:47 PM AGGER,
Did you paint the old H2's or are they powdercoated? If you painted them how did you prep them and what kind of paint did you use? I just picked up a set and want to black them out.
Thanks Rick
AGGAR 08-26-2008, 10:57 PM THey're painted. A guy did it for me as I was in Harvest and didn't have time. PM Addicted. He painted his all Black and they look good as well. I think they'll hold up better than mine b/c the areas I wanted showing are starting to peel off a little. Not too happy about it. I think if you fine sand the painted parts and clean them good and prime and then paint and put a clear on you'll be good.
wbens 08-27-2008, 02:13 AM Looks good Ryan! Nice find.
CJATE 08-27-2008, 09:19 AM 315's are stock H2 right?
I did not think they would fit, this is good news,
travrazz 08-27-2008, 10:39 AM Looks good AGGAR!!! I fit 315 on silver H2's just a month ago. Had to do some trimming and tie the e-brake cable back, but yes, they will fit.
f0cker 08-27-2008, 08:13 PM I've had 315 Toyo MTs on my truck since March...The key is in the backspacing, I've got 4.5" BS on mine. Truck looks good.
dirtcheap 08-28-2008, 06:56 PM ive got the same on mine best $ i ever spent made such a big diff...i added new torsion keys and trimmed plastic no bumper mods
dmaxfireman 12-06-2008, 11:29 AM how do they fit when lower t-bars? i'm really concerned about them not fitting for pulling this spring. i put mine on after the end of last season and they don't look like they're gonna fit when i drop the bars.......
i may drop the bars this afternoon to see how everything fits and see if i need to start a 33x12.5x17 fund :D
LMM_Guy 12-06-2008, 02:17 PM Could you take a picture of your tire to inner wheel well liner clearance with the wheel turned at the back of the fender? Also your tire to bumper clearance?
I just want to see how crucial the torsion lift is to getting these to clear.
Rodeo_Joe 12-06-2008, 02:56 PM these 33/35s?
ravencr 12-13-2008, 10:21 PM Hey guys,
I'm buying a 2008 GMC 2500 4x4 on Monday, and I had just bought a new set of 35" Toyo MT's for my current truck, and I'd like to swap the tires off my stock ford wheels onto the stock GMC wheels. My question is two-fold:
1) Are the stock GMC wheels 7.5" wide?
2) Will the 35's clear with no lift like they do on my Ford F-250?
Thanks for the help,
Chris
Nathan Muthler 12-13-2008, 10:45 PM I tried to stuff 35's under my 08 and they rubbed really badly on the back of the front fenders. I had them on H2 rims. I had my t bars cranked clear up also. Maybe they will fit better on your stock wheels. They were rubbing at full steer real bad on the sway bar up front also.
ravencr 12-13-2008, 11:02 PM Well that sucks...guess I'll need to lift it afterall, huh? :) I don't think they'll fit on the stock wheels since they're only 6.5" wide.
Chris
ravencr 12-15-2008, 11:57 AM I've had 315 Toyo MTs on my truck since March...The key is in the backspacing, I've got 4.5" BS on mine. Truck looks good.I just pm'd you about my new 2008 2500HD I'm buying today. I'd like to know if I can run your exact setup on mine without the lift??
