my brother in law has a 2001 lb7 duramax and we noticed a leak between the block and head the truck has had injectors replaced and i surges ever 8 seconds (revs up) but i took the inner fender liner out and the back corner of the valve cover bolts were loose and the red antifreeze was comming out there and i tightened them up and it quit there idling the truck does not leak but if you drive it and stop and go around and look it is pouring out between the block and head right front corner it has only 78000 miles will the warentee take care of this i have the new lly moter myself i don't know if the warentees are the same thanks

warranty should take care of it... does he have any programmers on it? if so, tell him to take all aftermarket accessories off before going to the dealership.

You tighten the valve covers up and it quit leaking antifreeze??!!*&*!&!!!??

Not good.
Where on the engine is it leaking from ? Which side/front or rear?

There are some leaks that may lead it to look like a head gasket.
