When you run the script to install the DSP Custom OS that process creates the 5 tunes. At that point, they are 5 copies of your base tune. You need to edit these (usually edit 4, and leave one as stock), then flash the tune into your truck.

The DSP tutorial details how to load the custom OS and the parameters that can be changed in a DSP setup (DSP is a limited set of parameters when compared to a standard non DSP tune). You'll find the tutorial here DSP Upgrade Tutorial - Rev2.pdf (http://download2.efilive.com/Tutorials/PDF/DSP%20Upgrade%20Tutorial%20-%20Rev2.pdf)

Is the switch type and password thing new? Do I need to update my version because I just did the dsp5 thing and I don't have those options.

Also I tried to load the tables by opening the comparison alternate tune and the apt tune just showed up as the lowest values. What am I doing wrong?

I can't recall how long ago we released switching via V2 and the password protection. NOTE these are only available for FlashScan V2. However, if you don't have these options, it is because you need to update your software. You'll find the latest release on our webiste.
