Well im not, but i have 2 friends that want to. Both are 2wd GMC's, only one is a 04.5' CC Dually, and the other is a 04 CC/SB. Both trucks also pull 20ft open dove's, with the dually pulling the occasional 44ft goose. We've seen them lowered before out here around Vegas, but where do they go for springs and what all is involved during the process ?? TIA !!

DJM makes a static lowering kit, McGaughy makes a kit I beleive but don't quote me on it and you would need to run larger rims generally. If it was me and I used to be in the business, I would opt for a full air ride kit, give you better ability to tow out back and also lift up over speed bumps. IMO the trucks are too long just to ride low static only. Air Ride Tech has a nice kit for this but isn't cheap. www.ridetech.com (http://www.ridetech.com)

-b-rian, my 03 dually is on a 6/8 djm suspension drop around 1k for the drop, stock rear leafs just a flip in the rear, up front will consist of a upper and lwer control arm. I did add the tow bags to the rear for towing thought. if you need more info pm me or post here.

for got to add the air kit is pricey as well, djm also makes a 3/5 drop with a lower control and rear spring hanger kit, beltech I believe also has one. stock 16" wheels fit no prob, still on the factorys till I figure out which style 19.5 I want to run, had the kit in for 30k miles, use it to tow a 40' powerboat that weighs in around 12k. if you do air ride tech would be the way to go, my next move for the summer will be the air kit.
