Has anyone had any problems with the switch that rides on the shaft from your clutch pedal through the firewall to the clutch hydrolics. All I know is that mine is out and cannot start my truck.

do a search for it , there have been problems with them. all you need to do is jump two wires but I don't remember which ones for sure

It's the center two C & D. Rock Auto has a clutch master cyl for about $80.00. It's the only way to get the switch. I was able to take the switch apart and replace the innards without replacing the whole master cyl.

Thanks Jeli. I read the post, but the last reply I did not understand if he just tied the two sets of wires together or what.

Take a small piece of wire or paperclip and make a jumper between C&D. I pushed a paperclip into the back side of the plug so the plug could stay connected into the safety switch. This gives the ECM a false signal your clutch pedal is depressed. The good news is you will be able to start the truck. Bad news is it will start with the clutch out and your cruise won't work.

Well I tried that and my truck started but as you said no cruise control. So I decided to go on ahead and replace the switch. Had to pay Uncle GM $60, but I sure like my cruise control.
