Mackin 03-06-2005, 05:10 PM Fun? perhaps but in reality taking a brand new truck out and doing that to it with less than what 20 miles on it is wrong, dude.

Insurance will be the last of his concerns. You should be careful what you post on here.
Just another dealer looking out for another one.:ro)

No skin off my back! Do what you want, but i was informed today he was going tomorrow to BUY it! Anyhow, there is no proof what so ever of where it came from or who even was test driving the truck. You cant even see the truck or anyone in it! YEAH, I bet that holds up real well!
Dont be so uptight. Its a USED truck anyway! If he tore it up he would pay for it!

RyanU 03-06-2005, 10:09 PM And another thing...how many people do you think will just spend $35k and not at least see what it's got?!?!? Unless you have the money to blow, then who cares, if you don't like that one, buy another!! I bet 70% of all people that do a take home test drive does the same thing or something similiar! And the dealers know that people do it! SO why do they people take em home???
bartman 03-06-2005, 10:12 PM Just wanted to raise your blood pressure a little):h ):h ):h  Our General Manager got pulled over for doing 163 MPH in a Vette:eek: The coversation with the owner of the dealership could not have been pleasant:help:
We've all driven cars like we stole them):h
RyanU 03-06-2005, 10:18 PM Yea I got to thinking that! I thought we were all speed freaks on here! I wondering why someone would wanna jump off the band wagon?!?!? No problem
I can imagine the conv the he endured!! LOL
bartman 03-06-2005, 10:31 PM Just having fun.):h I know several of my customers have "shaved the back tires" on test drives.
A former salesman didn't think a Camaro SS would power-brake, so I said "come on...I'll show you it can!" So off we go on a road behind the dealership. Stop in the middle of the road and let er rip. We come back to the dealership about 10 minutes later with the sales manager sitting on the porch with his arms crossed and a look that could kill on his face. Long story short...almost had to buy new tires for it:eek: $500:eek:  Gave us a tongue lashing and let us go.:ro)
needless to say...I never did that again):h

dozerboy 03-07-2005, 07:24 PM I just went to the auto show in motion where you get to test drive all the vehicles. Most of those vehicles needed new tires after that.:ro)
That reminds me of the time they had the Yamaha test rides at Daytona. My buddy didn't believe touring bikes could do rolling burnouts....he was wrong.
