Help! I just removed a 8' utility box from my 2002 D/A and replaced with a new 2005 standard 8' box. The new box has connectors for taillights to attach to the rear junction plate. However, There are no wires attached to this plate. The upfitter must have cut off the connector and soldered them to the lights in the utility box. I am killing myself trying to get the lights working. I was planning on stripping the insulation behind the connectors on new box and solderring what was left after removing the wires from the utility box. The wire colors don't match.

I had the pleasure of doing the same thing when we moved the utility bed from a 2000 GMC to a 2004 GMC with the DM/A.
I had someone in the cab and behind the truck and I just went to testing and splicing wires. Finally got it figured out.
I had to order a new connector plate with pig tails to be able to make it work as the old wires were all cut up and torn off.

Sory I can't be of more help.
