How long can I store Diesel Fuel in those 5 gallon fuel cans? Is there anything like biocide that should be added to the fuel to extend its lifespan?

Id use biocide if it was gonna sit for more than a few months. Also if your in a colder climate, make sure you dont leave summer diesel sitting around and go to use it in the winter, it will make for a real dirty job.
