When u get the 1093 code does it set the lite inside?

I've had it go into <2000 rpm mode 3 times in last 3 days, but no lite set, shut off and restart all is fine.

One time was a level 5-5 EGT run and after slowing down it did it.
other 2 times it just did it not hammering, just driving level 2&3.

This code will turn on the light and it will go of after 3 consecutive ignition cycles without a failure.

Sucks don't it, wish there was a answer, got mine at 70 on the freeway last week, scared the crap out of!

I just got my truck fixed!!! It would throw that dam code all the time but I never got a lite inside. I had to take it to two different steelers to finally get it fixed. It was the high pressure fuel relieve valve leaking fuel back to the tank. The mechanic had a hell of a time trying to isolate the problem. The GM tech line didn't have any answeres and told him he was on his own and good luck in trying to fix it. I hope my fix will work or help anyone start the process of trying to fix this ****ty problem.

My father-in-law had to have his replaced back at Christmas so I guess I'll have to take it in.

GMCSID, is there any code for the problem we are getting since the lite isn't set?
