Is a 8.1 2001 air sensor the same as a 8.1 2002? I need one for my 2002 and there is someone who has a 2001 for sale.

Not real sure what to tell you. They are the same physical size and shape.
Both have the same ACDelco part number 213364. Should work just fine.
This is the Mass AirFlow Sensor, right? It goes between the air box and intake.
If all else fails, look at the part number stamped on your part, then compair it to the new part.
