As there's no speedometer cables anymore, that can't be the problem with mine. The needle has started to bounce up and down; down to zero, and back up to the speed I'm travelling. It usually holds at the speed I'm travelling, but as soon as I let off the gas pedal, it starts its bounce. Cruise will not hold. When on cruise, it stays for awhile then the cruise kicks off by itself and the needle starts its dance. Any electronics experts out there?

Thanks in Advance,
Ken

Probably the stepper motor in the cluster in the cluster. If you have less than 80,000 miles and under 5 years, the dealer may fix it under a special policy.

Next if you can solder small pieces, you can buy the motors on ebay - really reasonable. Suggest you replace all the stepper motors in the cluster. There is a step-by-step in the DIY section.

There are several vendors here that will repair it for you-- check US Speedo.

Also on ebay there are replacement clusters or vendors that will repair it.

Hope this helps.:)
