I’ve done a search but couldn’t find what I needed. I have a chance to score a set of chrome H2 wheels for $200. I want to wrap them in some Toyo 37/13.50/17 tires. They will go on the truck in my sig. Has anyone run these tires on some H2 wheels? What problems did you run into i.e too much backspacing, had to trim the hell out of the fender well? I will probably put a one inch bigger block in the rear, and crank the T-bars a little. I want to make sure they will work before I lay out the cash. Thanks.

$200 is a darn good price on the wheels. Get them and if you don't use them you'll be able to get the cash back outta the wheels. Not sure on the tires. The wheels are actually 17x8.5 I believe.

BigDmax are you getting the wheels local? If you want to just try some I have some H2's with some really worn 315/70R17's in the garage you can try out just for fitment purposes. I don't think you will have any problems whatsoever though. Some trimming maybe. Tons of guys are running the H2's. You might end up with a pretty serious bulge in the sidewall, but it shouldn't do any harm. Those tires are approved for an 8.5 to 11" rim which I'm sure you already know. Also I believe all the Toyo Mt's that are 37x13.5" are really more like 37x12.5"

they will fit the wheels fine, just not the truck. You will need to lift it. I have 305/65/17's on h2's, I had to crank up the t-bars and do some trimming. These tires are real close to 33 x 12.50's, so, I don't think you want to trim enough to fit 37's. pics in my garage.

Sig says he has a 6" lift and is already running 36's ;)

Thanks for the offer. When I bought the truck it had the 16" MKW wheels with 315/75/16 tires on it and I didn't have any issues at all. I just heard that the H2's have a little more backspacing on them. So if I put a tire that big on will the H2's tuck it in the fender too much? I don't want to chew up the inner fender when I turn.

More backspacing usually means you'll have less of a chance of chewing up the inner fender well as the interference is at the outside edge of the tire not the inner. The only thing to watch out for is upper control arm clearance.

I meant the part of the fender that covers the side of the engine. As you turn the front of the wheel comes out, and the back of the wheel comes in, and vice versa. I just want to make sure the tire won't naw on the plastic as I turn. The UCA is a good point too.
