for all those who asked, the ride is much better then before considering the fact that i had 100,000 miles on stock shocks, feels like a caddilac compared to before. i am planning on changing the wheels at some point but i kinda like the half sleeper look so i havent really decided

dentpusha. i measured it for ya from the bottom of the fender flare to level ground and it was exactly 41 inches. but it should be different on yours because im still runnin the PYOs and smaller tires than u are

WOW BUD:eek:

that looks great, you have the same truck as mine and i love the naked look without the trim pieces and the black head light and tail light covers:cool:.

i was debating on if i should do the same (taking the trim off) and after seeing yours.........well, i'm sold.

i have 285's on my truck but it's still stock height i need to get it leveled....

great looking truck

3.5" rear blocks sound a little tall for this set up. Is that right?

Yea, still sounds high. The tallest block I have ever used was at most a 1.5" and stock UCA's. Whats the side profile of the truck look like? Not knocking, just seems high.

That's the stance I want on my truck. Looks good man.

im pretty sure its a three inch block but i could be wrong...i told the guys at the shop i wanted it higher, a better ride, and for it not to sag real bad with the trailor behind it. the manager told me my best bet would be new shocks and a leveling kit that should bring it up roughly 2 inches and the three inch blocks would sit it up higher in the back but still be an inch or so higher than the front...in the side profile at the beginning of the thread u can see that the front still sits lower than the back

Yeah it def looks like a 3 inch out back...My buddy has the same set up on his truck that we installed, he used a 3" and his truck looks just like that in stance..

Looking at the lower pic; you might want to take a quick pic of the front axle between the front diff and the wheel (CV angle).

CWILCOX1828
08-27-2008, 08:01 PM
what does that show?

Nor-Cal Nick
08-27-2008, 09:48 PM
Basically if you have a 3.5" rear block and the front end leveled with "keys" then people like to see the CV angles to see how "keyed" or "cranked up" your front end is. Harsh CV angles can be bad and harsh CV angles reflect what the other working angles are on your front end at that stance. Ball joints, tie rods, idler & pitman arms tend to wear faster with the front end up really high in working angles.

I agree with most of the people that the truck looks great with that stance but you may want to watch the front end since the method of suspension lift may reflect issue's.

The CV is the front axle from the front axle to the outer spindle:
