CPS wire runs down drivers side of water pump. Plug is top of water pump.

Have you checked the LP and OPS? Just to eliminate them.

OK, a few issues here...
- a plugged return line will NOT make a PMD on a heat sink 'get really hot'
- not sure a plugged return line will make for hard-to-start issues.
Bad CPS sensor or connection will, though. I thought you had the problem solved in post #4

ok i forgot to fill in some blanks i found a bad prong on wire to pmd that fixed it from getting hot but truck was still start then die i got frrusterated and started checking everything i noticed when i pulled return line off it had some pressure behind it so i took my air hose and blew it out i took like 3 times to get whatever was plugging it out the truck has been starting and running fine. thanks for all your help and i hope that what i found can help some of you all

good job! nothing better than fixing and finding the problem all by yourself. But will a bad prong on a pmd cause starting issues?

Won't hurt but sounds like the problem is a bad OPS or LP wiring/grounds. Probably a good idea to have a look through the FAQ. Tons of info on the LP and OPS there.
