Anyone have this brake controller installed on their truck?

How do you like it? Is it easy to install in a 05/ GMC 3500?

Thanks

Yes I have the Jordan brake controller on my 2500 HD. It works extremely well. It makes the truck and trailer work as one unit when stoping. It is relatively eazy to install. The instructions are eazy to read and follow.
If you run into any problems which you unlikely to do the company is just a phone call away and very helpfull. Chances are you will talk to mr. Jordan himself.

Dose the Jordan have a manual override to put the trailer brake on with out using the truck brakes? I have read away where that says it has that option.

Yes, there is a big red button on the front of the controller you push to activate the trailer brakes only. I want to tell you a little more about the jordan. It mounts on the underside of the instument panel (that's where I put it any way) on the right side between the steering wheel and the console. Some say they have mounted it in the dash itself but I have a 4x4 and could not. It has a cable that runs from the controller to the brake pedal. You can use the pig tail GM supplied but you will not use all of the wires. I spliced a toggle switch in the hot wire and mounted it under the dash to turn the power off to the unit when I am not pulling the trailer. I figured this would help the controller last longer. The cable itself I remove from the pedal when not in use, it has a slot so this is easily done to also save wear on the unit. When you have it hooked up, turned on and trailer in tow there is a cable noise you will notice when you apply the brakes, but it is not bad. The controller works great and Compared to the electronic one I replaced i feel much safer with the jordan. hope I have helped you!

I was thinking the red button was for the gain control. I liked the idea of the cable going to the bake. Fell under the (keep it simple thing).
RV Wholesalers have one for $98.00. I will order it today.
Brake Smart sound like the best system. But they want blood money for theirs.
Thanks

get what you pay for with the brakesmart. you spend $40K for a truck and $$$$ for trailers, whats a couple hundered bucks for the best brake controller you can buy

Have to settle for second best. I am getting tapped out on cash.

I just laid out $2,350 in hitches, sway control and everything else.

Have to pay $10,000.00 in insurance for pulling RV's, boats and horse trails.

The truck needs to start earning its keep and paying the bills.

Maybe next year I'll get the brake smart.

I am in debt up to my eyeballs right now. I need to get the business off the ground and making money.
The next truck will be a class 3 with a sleeper. :D

You can't go wrong with the Jordon 2020 Ultima when you get it installed correctly, just follow the instuctions and your good to go.
I had a controller back in 1979 that worked simular to the brakesmart and it worked very well, I don't remember the name of it due to age? Couldn't find on like it when I purchased the Jordon.

 hope the truck works hard for you and fuel prices do not rise much more, did not mean to imply the Jordan is not a good controller.

Purchased the Jordan 2020 for my '02 3500 - was a piece of cake to install (took all of 20 minutes) and works great. The spring loaded pin down at the brake pedal was a little stiff initially and didn't slide completely smooth, but I just left it attached to the pedal when not towing for a while until it was broken in good, and that did the trick. Red button for engaging the trailer brakes solo, small black knob for gain. Truck and trailer now brakes as a single system would.

I have them and would definitely recommend them. It allows you to stay in control of your vehicle and trailer. If you brake a little, the trailer will not jerk hard unlike some other brands does. Also if you ever have to make a panic braking, it will give out near or full power to trailer. In that case, some other brands will not slow the trailer down enough so you are wasting valuable time and distance in an emergency situation.

I ordered the Jordan from RV Wholesalers $98.00 might be here Wednesday.

I talked to a RV Deal Monday about pulling camper for him. He said he could give me some work as soon as my truck was ready.

Thanks to all that replied.

(Ski1) I wish money was not the deciding facture. Stopping is more importing then getting it going.

It’s like the guy that made the V12 nitrous bike. The reporter asked him how fast it would go. Guy said I don’t know we haven’t figured out how to stop it yet.

Thanks
