GP on time is adepicked via air temp.. usually bleow 50-60*
if it ain coming one most likely will throw a code.

Not cold enough? Sometimes my Glow plug light does not come on either. Usually temperature related.

The glow plugs IIRC, won't work until ~40*. And even then, you shouldn't see the dash light be on for more then a couple of seconds. If you are from Ky. Whistler, it is way to warm for the glow plugs to be working. Mine won't stay on for more then say 3 seconds or in the dead of winter when up here it can be 0*-10* in the morning or colder.

Correct, mine hardly comes on at all in the summer. Nothing to worry about.

Just wanted to bump this back up... picked up my 06 LLY yesterday and the wait to start light has come on twice. Once when I picked it up from PA to drive it home, and again this morning after sitting all night. I drove it this morning for about 5 hours, and came home to take care of a few things. I went out about an hour later, and the light didn't come on. Found it rather strange, but still waited a few seconds to start it. Started and ran fine. Did what I had to, running for about an hour, and went to watch a football game. No wait to start light again. I am hunting away with some searching but is the light correlated to ECT? Could it be that everything is just staying warm enough and not sitting for long enough to get cold? Thanks for the help. -J

Normal operation don't sweat it. Depending how cold it is or if the winds pounding on the truck will determine how often the it needs the glow plugs. Drive it and enjoy it.
